Die Journographie ist ein gezeichnetes Tagebuch.
Sie bezieht sich immer auf ein unwesentliches, nebensächliches Geschehen oder Erlebnis eines Tages. Interessant dabei ist, dass das Nebensächliche sich ändern kann, sobald es eine Hervorhebung erfährt. Es wird in seinem Auserwähltsein zum Sinnbild.
Während sich ein Tagebuchverfasser der Wahrheit verpflichtet fühlt, verfremdet die Journographin einen am Tag gewonnenen Eindruck durch eine Lüge. Sie kombiniert also etwas Unwichtiges vom Tag mit einer Fälschung oder Idee.
Der Weg vom Gedächtnis zum Papier ist kurz. Daher wird die Zeichnung nach Möglichkeit täglich direkt, spontan und ungeplant aufs Papier geworfen.
Die Journographie erinnert sich an die Gegenwart. Sie enthält nicht, was vom Tage übrig bleibt, sondern, was er hervorbringt.

Journography is a diary in illustrated form.
It always refers to an unimportant, trifling occurrence or experience in a day.
Interestingly, what appears trifling can alter as soon as it becomes a focus of attention.
Having been singled out, it becomes a symbol.
Whilst a diary keeper feels compelled to write the truth, the journographer distorts an impression gained during the day.
He or she combines an unimportant event of the day with a distortion or idea.
Autobiographical references are only recognisable in a rudimentary or fragmented form.
The passage from memory to paper is short.
Drawings, therefore, as far as possible, are committed to paper daily, directly, spontaneously and unplanned.
Journography recollects the present.
It does not embrace what remains of the day, but what the day brings forth.
